Co-created by CSO cellist Katinka Kleijn, composer Daniel R. Dehaan, and sound designer/composer Ryan Ingebritsen, Intelligence in the Human-Machine, a duet for violoncello and brainwaves, explores the sonic interactions between, and the repercussions of, the act of conceiving & performing music. As part of the Industry of the Ordinary’s mid-career survey, Sic Transit Gloria Mundi: Industry of the Ordinary at the Chicago Cultural Center, Intelligence in the Human-Machine investigates the unheard, personal side of music collaboration.
Sound Room is a collaboration between Chicago based composers/sound artists Kyle Vegter, Ryan Ingebritsen, and Daniel R. Dehaan. Using custom built software and a complex, multi-channel speaker system they create unique and intuitive three dimensional sound spatialization system, specifically tuned to the acoustic nuances of specific locations.
